The Mystery of the Trinity

There are three persons in the Godhead, the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. All are one God; they cannot be separated one from the other any more than you can be separated from your thoughts or your feelings. ­­­God is one and He made us in His image. There are three different persons in one body in that your motives are not always in line with what you know you should do or what you feel like doing, nor do you do what you know you should do. Your character (which is what others see) is what you actually do. All three are you, but what others see might not reflect who you really are. With God, all three agree on every issue; thus, the three become one. So when the disciples saw Jesus (i.e., the character of God), they were actually seeing God. That is why Jesus said to the disciples, “If you have seen Me, you have seen the Father.”
